In this beginner class, students will have the chance to design and create up to 2 micro mosaic pendants or pins using Italian glass “Filati”. We will cover all the steps of micro-mosaic creation, from selecting the substrate, design, tool use, cutting and setting the filati. Use your own design, or choose from a selection of design ideas for your pieces. Use of tools, substrates and all glass materials are included. No art or mosaic experience necessary. Readers or cheater glasses will be helpful for magnification to see the small materials we are working with. A handout “how to” notes will be given for future reference.

You will leave with at least one, if not two pieces of jewelry AND the basic knowledge to move forward on your new mosaic adventure.
