What is SAORI? SAORI is an art form and weaving style that comes from Japan. It is joyful and easy to learn. Try your hands at this fun, color-blending, creative, and expressive weaving style!
This class begins with an introduction to SAORI weaving. This instructor will demonstrate how to use a SAORI floor loom. Students will then select their weaving materials. The instructor will provide a variety of textured yarns in a wide array of colors- you’re also welcome to bring your own. From here, you’ll dive into “freestyle” weaving.
SAORI is perfect for children and enjoyable and relaxing for adults. No experience necessary!
Equipment Note: Student will weave on pre-warped SAORI looms provided by the instructor.
