The Family of Blair Lawhead presents
Givens Violins Open House at the Hormel Historic Home
Givens Violins would like to celebrate the commitment of the community of Austin to the importance of having a rich musical life and will be exhibiting at the Hormel Historic Home. Present will be Claire Givens, founder of Givens Violins in 1977 and Andrew Dipper, renowned restorer of musical instruments and violin scholar. They will be bringing instruments upon request for whomever may want to try an upgrade or upsized violin, viola or cello or their bows. Andrew Dipper will be available to offer free check-ups for instruments and bows. This is a process that entails checking all glue seams, bridge position and other factors that influence playability and quality of sound.
By appointment only. Appointments will be limited.
To schedule your appointment contact cgivens@givensviolins.com or 612/375-0708 x114
