Jammin' at the Bandshell is a musical event for musicians and music-lovers alike, and it is family-friendly! 

It is an OPEN jam for ALL levels of musicianship: pros , intermediates and beginners alike, so bring your instrument (voice, guitar, bass, accordion, flute, trumpet, tambourine, violin, etc.) and join the house band Ventura Highway and other local musicians on stage at the band shell in Austin!

If you want to play a specific song, please either choose a well-known, easy-to-follow song or bring chord charts for the band (at LEAST size 20 font!). Legible, hand-written charts are fine, too. Please bring at least 4 copies of your song(s) so the band can follow along. Original songs are welcomed!

Due to the nature of the jam session, solo acts are strongly encouraged to have at least one or two other musicians join them during their performance. 

This is a GREAT and UNIQUE opportunity for less-experienced musicians to play with very seasoned, experienced musicians.

AUDIENCE members are invited to bring chairs, blankets, coolers with treats, beverages, sunblock, etc. 

This is a FREE event, but an offering will be taken to help with production costs. 

NO food or beverage will be SOLD on the premises.
